Francesco Molino (1768-1847)

Francesco Molino was an Italian violinist and guitarist and composer who lived for many years in Paris.  His biography is on the Tecla site.

April 2004: Molino's Grand Trio Concertant for flute or violin, viola and guitar, op. 30, a new re-engraved edition by Brian Jeffery. One of the finest of all chamber works with guitar, full of originality and beauty. This is a completely new edition.  The work has not been published before (as far as I know) since Molino's own day. A major new discovery for anyone who plays chamber music with guitar.  It is not particularly difficult. It is also available in printed form from Tecla.

April 2004: a completely new re-engraved edition, here on Hebe, of Molino's very fine Second Grand Trio Concertant op. 45.  An important new edition.

January 2004: a completely new re-engraved edition, here on Hebe, of Molino's very fine Three Trios for flute, viola and guitar, op. 4.  An important new edition.

Between them, the above three make up the COMPLETE EDITION of the trios of Molino.

Other works by Molino available ONLINE here in Hebe (all of them, as far as I know, otherwise unpublished):
Quatre thêmes variés for guitar solo, op. 18
Trois rondeaux brillants for solo guitar, op. 28
Le Goût Espagnol, ou Grand boléro suivi d’une Séguidilla d’un Fandango et un autre boléro, opus 54
Three sonatas for solo guitar, from Molino's method
