PayPal

PayPal is an easy internet system for making payments. Anyone can have a PayPal account who has a major credit card in most countries.  To set up a PayPal account is easy, worldwide, and free.  I have done it myself.

Once you have a PayPal account, it is then much easier and far more secure than using a credit card.  You don't have to enter any long numbers and expiry dates.  It's more secure because you're not giving your card details to anyone. There are no monthly charges, and transaction charges are low.

Also, you can choose to pay and receive in several currencies, including euros, UK pounds, and US dollars.

Once you have a PayPal account, be careful with using it, just as with anything financial.   Always go through their site which begins https:// (the s is important because it means it is a secure site).  There are scams around.  Watch out especially for fake e-mails asking for your card details, and don't answer them.

A customer writes: "Thank you for your prompt reply. At your suggestion I set up a paypal account and have ordered the item".
